Please pray for Jessica Marshall. We have been praying for her upcoming surgery due to endometrial cancer. That surgery is October 14.
She also has had a suspicious place removed and tested for skin cancer. It came back as melanoma. She is going thru so much all ready and had that surgery today.

Please continue to pray for Jessica and her family.

I asked for prayer for a family friend battling cancer, Garrett Thornton. Please see my mother's report below and continue to pray for comfort for him and his family. Thank you.


The news is not good. They did the surgery yesterday and they went in and it had spread so they just sewed him back up. She said the portion of the small intestine that they took out to make the bladder was cancerous and it had spread to his abdomen also. She said after 2 hours of surgery they called them back and she knew then that it wasn't good since the surgery was suppose to take 6 hours. She said they are going to do chemo but not sure when or if it will be of any benefit. An oncology board of about 12 doctors is going to meet on Monday and look at his case and see what they think the treatment should be. Garrett asked the oncologist last night if he had a year and the doctor said probably not. Marilyn said she just "lost it" when the doctor told them that after surgery.

Just have to keep praying for strength for them.

Please say a little prayer for Jody. He's been in a situation since his layoff where, yes, he was finally blessed with a job, but it was no where near the pay he used to make. He has a potential job offer that sounds very promising with lots of room for advancement. I just pray that if God has this in our plan that it will work out! Thanks in advance! I love my bridge family and the fact that I can ask for prayer anytime, no matter what!

Laura Childer's prayer request

Jennifer Wake's dear friend, Laura Childers, was scheduled for rotator cuff surgery and during preliminary surgical testing, her EKG is abnormal and further tests are required. Please pray that those test show nothing serious and the surgery will be back on track.

Please pray for my mom's friend Karen, her son, Kenny McKinley was found dead by gun shot yesterday. My mom (Brenda) talked to Karen McKinley (Kenny's mom) and she is hurting, she doesn't believe her cheerful son could have comitted suicide, please pray that God comforts Karen & her family during this time. My sister Audrey was friends with Kenny and cheered for him at South Cobb High & Audrey is very distraught too. Kenny played for the Denver Broncos. Thank you for your prayers for that entire family.

Please keep Phoenix is your prayers. He's having a reaction to the new infusion. He feels pretty bad. I reallyhope this gets better over the next few infusions, since doing SubQ will make it so much easier on us as a family. Please be in prayer for the entire situation. He has a fever; migraine, and stomach ache and all of the Infusion sites are red and tender. He's been having migraines a lot lately and we have to go see a neurologist soon to have them checked out. It just hurt a mama's heart when her kid hurts. No matter their age.

Please pray for the love of my life, Bruce. He has battled with depression for most of his life. He has progressed to stage 4 Depression. I know everyone has suffered in the last few years with our economy downfall, but he was a proud man with great credit and nice home and always provided for his family. Now neither of us have worked a day in four and half months. Last week I received a few e-mails from our family at The Bridge. Each of them told us that they were praying for us. The next day Bruce received his first signing for a job in months. I felt so blessed and he is so over whelmed. He is out of shape and let him self shut down for so long that he has no idea how to function. Please lift him up in your prayers. This has taken a toll on our whole family. Please pray for Susan and Zach Williams and family. Susan's Mom, Dorothy Shoemaker, has passed away after a battle with cancer.
Details will follow, but Dorothy and Susan's Dad live in Winder and that is where the funeral will take place.

update on TJ Rushing from family

TJ has had a great day! He says he feels good! One of his friends took him to lunch and his Uncle Chuck took him to dinner, so he's been treated well! We are praising GOD for HIS amazing love and grace HE has shown us! Thank you LORD for the step by stepmiracles you have performed in TJ's life! We can never thank you enough!
