A friend of mine, TJ Rushing, is having surgery this morning to remove a brain tumor. Please pray for steady hands for the surgeons, complete removal of the tumor with no complications, and peace and strength for him and the family. He's in his early 20's.

update from Crystal Glass

I went with my grandparents this morning to the cardiologist for him to give my grandmother clearance for surgery Monday. He has postponed her hip replacement surgery because she has been having some chest tightness this week, and he does not feel comfortable her having the surgery. Instead, we are scheduled to have a heart cath at Redmond Monday to make sure her heart is 100% before letting her have the hip replacement. Thank you for all your prayers. Please pray now that the cath gives us answers to what is going on with her heart.

Danielle Harrison is doing well after her pin removal surgery this morning. I am sure continued prayers will be appreciated.

Deska Brown

Deska did have her test yesterday and it did show that she has a bad mitral valve. A heart cath is also in her future and surgery is also imminent.
I am sure Deska is overwhelmed at this point and I am sure her family and friends are too.
Everything will be fine once she gets all this behind her, but please pray now for comfort and peace of mind to continue day to day until she knows for sure when surgery will occur.

Please add my grandmother, Grace, to the prayer list. She will be having a total hip replacement Monday at Cartersville Medical Center. She is also having a heart issue, but has been cleared for surgery at this point. We have to see the Cardiologist again Friday for a check-up prior to surgery to make sure she is okay for surgery. Please pray that her heart is strong enough for surgery and if there is any doubt in the doctor's mind if she can handle the stress of surgery, he will postpone it. She wants to go ahead with her hip replacement as long as he gives her clearance because she is in so much pain. I want what's best for her and her health.

My daughter and her husband have asked for prayer for their friends Craig and Sheila Martin. Craig was in a very bad accident and is going through his 3rd. muscle/skin graft on his calf today. The previous 2 were unsuccessful. If this one doesn't work, he will have to have his lower leg amputated. They will know in 4 days if it is a success. This is a young couple in their early thirties with 3 children. Sheila needs prayer as well because she is working, caring for the kids and driving all the way down to Portland, Oregon, where he was airlifted to, from above Seattle, WA.. She is trying to bring Craig food everyday so he can hopefully eat. The drugs he's taking are creating severe nausea and the hospital food is nasty. Needless to say she is exhausted. Update on the baby we prayed for this morning

We just got a report the baby is badly bruised but all limbs are moving and she seems to be doing great! Please continue prayers for a while for there to be no permanent damage to the brain or body due to being without oxygen for so long. I thank God for what He has done and is doing and everyone at the Bridge who prayed for this little girl. "Be still and know I am God"

Hello All.
May God bless your day as you follow His will.
I have a good friend, Bob Coxe, bass player in our church praise team, whose wife, Patty Coxe, is gravely ill.
She began throwing up last Saturday (8/14) and is now in ICU at N. Fulton hospital, intubated and heavily medicated. Her kidneys, liver and lungs are under attack by something. At this time only God knows what it is. The ventilator is running at 95%, meaning she cannot breathe on her own.
Please pray for Patty's healing, Bob's peace of mind that only God can provide (Bob lost his father to cancer in January and his mother to cancer last month), and for the doctors to be led to the cause and cure of Patty's illness.
Feel free to pass this along to any others that believe in the power of prayer to our Lord.

Please remember Callie O'banion, an 18 month old little girl. She has abnormal progesterone levels and advanced bone growth which are both signs of pre-puberty. She is being sent to Emory for blood work and scans to rule out a brain tumor and ovarian cysts as causes for the things happening. If it does turn out to be pre-puberty this is a rare disorder that will affect her tremendously with many side effects.

Please keep a little boy named Dillion in your prayers. He's at the Children's hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. he has an abscess in his leg muscles. He goes in for operation tomorrow. We hope to know some results soon after. God knows all the details so just keep him, Adrian, and Gil in your prayers.

Sherry Rogers has just asked for prayer for her daughter Deska Brown. Please read:

To all my praying family and friends,My daughter, Deska went to her PCP a couple of weeks ago for regular blood work. They had to try three times to get her BP and her pulse was very slow. This has been getting more prevalent over the last 6-12 months. They Dr. attributed it to the fact that she had started working with a trainer and had lost weight. Then during the checkup he heard a murmur that concerned him and he referred her to a cardiologist She has been very, very tired ever since the Dr./ removed her thyroid 5 years ago, due to a condition that causes cancer. The cardiologist order a sonogram/ultrasound. She went back for the results today. The cardio told her she had Rhuematic fever at some point and it has damaged every valve in her heart. All have significant leakage, which causes all her symptoms. Her mitral is the worse, then the aortic, then two more I cannot pronounce. When she told me about this today, I thought she had said Scarlett fever, but it was Rheumatic. According to the Dr. Rheumatic is the only thing that can cause this kind of damage. When she was little she got sick and I took her to the Dr. She was sick for a long time. She had a fever, rash. The cardio now says she was misdiagnosed and over time it has gotten worse until it is now a problem. A week from tomorrow she will be sedated at Kennestone hospital and they will do an esophageal ultrsound to determine if this has to be fixed now or if she will be able to wait a little while until a less invasive procedure is perfected. Prayer request from Deska Brown

I have an urgent prayer request for my friend's little girl, Hannah Adcock. She got sick on Wednesday (a little history - she's always had bad allergies and breathing problems. Gets pneumonia a lot) so when she went Wed and they told her it was a virus and that she was wheezing, it was no big deal. Sometime Sat night she got worse. They took her to Cartersville ER, where they were able to stabilize her, and then sent her via ambulance to Scottish Rite. By the time she arrived there she was unresponsive. They are intubating her now and putting in a central line. ( this was Sunday) She has pneumonia and some type of bacterial infection. Please send up prayers for this family! And this little girl. She's 9. And a precious little girl who is full of life and joy! Please pray that God's hand will put his healing touch on her and bring her through this!!! Thanks,Deska

I just wanted to thank everyone for the thoughtful emails. Heather said she could really feel that she is being lifted up by everyone's prayers. I spoke with Heather this morning. There will not be any services, per her mothers request. Her mother did leave a letter for Heather as well as the rest of the family. She is dealing with the loss as well as can be expected. She ask that you all keep praying for her and her family. Darrell, myself and the kids will be leaving this afternoon for Asheville to spend time with her and her family. I just received a call from my best friend from college, Heather Horrell. Her mother, who has suffered with mental illness for several years, took her life earlier today. Heather is an only child and her father has been absent since she was very young. She does have a grandmother and an aunt and uncle who live in Asheville where her mother, Angela Burton, lived. Heather will traveling to Asheville tomorrow to make arrangements. Please keep her in your prayer. She is numb right now and is dealing with so many emotions.Blessings to all,

If you have not heard yet, Praises go to GOD, Jay has accepted a job offer with an engineering company in Savannah. It is a good career move for him, and an opportunity for growth for the whole family. He will be heading down this Sunday/Monday to begin work. The family and I will be staying behind to sell our property in White and our house in Rydal.
I would like to ask you to lift us up in prayer for a good and quick sale of both, so that we may join him as quickly as possible. I would also like you to pray for his protection while he is away from us and when he travels back and forth on weekends.
