Praise report from Jay Simone

Just wanted to pass along this good news for me. I received a job offer and am in the process of evaluating offer and I am planning on letting them know my answer by lunch tomorrow. At this point I am leaning towards accepting.

My friend from childhood, Susan, writes:

I am sad to report that my youngest brother, Charles Wolff, has stage IV pancreatic cancer that has spread to his liver. While he will be having some chemo, his prognosis is….not good.
This was confirmed only by biopsies. His bloodwork and PET scans in the past few weeks had shown no cancer. Insidious. It all started with a vague lower back ache in early June.
Prayers are welcome.

Please pray for Malissa Roberts in that she fell today and has a concussion, 2 broken ribs and a sprained ankle.


Please pray for Deborah Lumpkin. She may have a collapsed lung due to a accident in a shuttle bus in Tunica , MS.

George Williams is out of surgery and they removed 3/4 of the tumor. They feel it is cancerous and may not be the primary cancer. It may have spread from somewhere else. Much more to determine in the next several days. Please remember George and the family at this time.

“This afternoon about 6pm, Jennifer and Sean left Sumter for Charleston with our four year old Granddaughter, Abby Grace. She is their youngest child, adopted from China a little over two years ago. She is scheduled for open heart surgery at the Medical University in Charleston, SC tomorrow. Two years ago this past April, this same team, performed emergency open heart surgery one week after her parents returned from China with her. Her Dr. is fantastic and we know who guides his hands. Please remember Abby Grace and all of her family in your prayers.”

Please pray for George Williams. This is Zach Williams' uncle and John Williams dad and Amanda Shaefer's future father in law. He has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and will have surgery next week. Please begin prayers at this time. An update will follow.

NEW PRAYER REQUEST

Erin Cocke, friend of Michael Laycock, is going into a treatment home this week. We have been asked for her deliverance from the demons of anger and substance abuse.


UPDATE
Thanks to all of you who have been praying for my nephew. He was able to call my mom today and give us all the details. He was hit by shrapnel from a rocket. It blew out his left ear drum and there is a lot of shrapnel in his neck. He has been discharged from the base hospital and will probably have to go to Germany to have the shrapnel removed. He has received a purple heart and will most likely have a full medical discharge. Please continue to pray for his healing, no infections, steady hands for the surgeons, and a quick return trip home. He was really touched to know so many people from all over the country are praying for him and he said it has made a huge difference for him. Fortunately no other US soldiers were injured during this skirmish. God's protective hand was certainly upon Tony that day.

Prayer request from Lisa Hereth

I have a prayer request for a very special friend of mine. Her name is Abbey, her son is Ollie, and her husband is Paul. They have run into serious money troubles and are facing getting evicted and/or getting their power turned off. Abbey lost both of her parents when she was 19, so she has no one to help. Ollie is just a few months old, and she is going back to work next week. She is so concerned about not being with him, and if they will have a place to live for much longer. They got some financial help from a local church where they recently decided to attend(praise GOD for that as they were both lost), but it will be touch and go for a while until they get their feet back on the ground. Please pray for this young couple and for Abbey to have peace about someone else taking care of her son.

Cindy is a close friend of Wendy and Jay Simone and they wish to extend her prayer request with our church family.

Please pray for my nephew, John 'Tony' Knight, who is serving in Afghanistan. We just found out that he was wounded in the neck. Yesterday he was able to call his wife, Crystal, and tell her before anyone from the Army called her. He is back at the main base in Afghanistan and they are talking about trying to move him to the medical facility in Germany. Unfortunately we don't know anything about his condition. Please pray for Tony, Crystal and the medical staff who is caring for him.

I have a friend, CJ, who is trying to get custody of his daughter from his ex-wife. He fears that his daughter is in an unhealthy situation with her mother. He asked me to ask our church to pray for him and his daughter so I am. Thank you.

Joan Burns (Daughter of Wilene Rutledge, sister to Roger Rutledge,sister to Jimmy Rutledge) has cancer. She is in the ICU at Cartersville.The family has told me that she is critically ill.

Please for Angel Allen. She is the daughter of one of Jessica Marshall's patients. She gave birth and the baby suddenly died. Angel then had a blood clot in her leg. They sent her home, she was rushed back and they had to amputate her leg. She is 21 years old and her mom is really concerned.
