The news is not good. They did the surgery yesterday and they went in and it had spread so they just sewed him back up. She said the portion of the small intestine that they took out to make the bladder was cancerous and it had spread to his abdomen also. She said after 2 hours of surgery they called them back and she knew then that it wasn't good since the surgery was suppose to take 6 hours. She said they are going to do chemo but not sure when or if it will be of any benefit. An oncology board of about 12 doctors is going to meet on Monday and look at his case and see what they think the treatment should be. Garrett asked the oncologist last night if he had a year and the doctor said probably not. Marilyn said she just "lost it" when the doctor told them that after surgery.
Just have to keep praying for strength for them.
