Update on Gene Evans

From his wife, Bobbie:


Dear Friends and Family,
Today we got CT results. Not Good news. The cancer in the lymph nodes between the lungs has been aggressive in the past 3 months. It has moved into the trachea (windpipe). It is also pressing on an artery. Gene has to have another echo cardiogram and a bronchoscopy (looking into the airway with a scope) to see how involved the trachea is. After these test he will probably have more chemo and radiation if the heart doctor says he is close enough to a year after the stints to have radiation. The test aren't scheduled yet, but will be as soon as all doctors have talked.

Please Pray!! God is still in control and His hand has been in everything that has happened. We will continue to Praise Him and Trust Him.

Lisa Hereth is a teacher in the Cherokee County School System and if it be God's will she would like to be teaching in Bartow County. Please pray that this might be a real option for her.

Jessica and the baby are okay. Praise God!
Jessica does have a bacterial infection and certainly does not feel well, but with the help of an antibiotic, she will be much better soon!!

Please pray for the Lees and their little baby. Jessica is having unexplained contractions and is dizzy, is having headaches, and is fatigued. They are going to the DR today. Eric and Jessica are asking for prayers for comfort and health and for the contractions to either stop or be of the false labor variety. Thank you.

Please pray for Lisa Harrison's mother, Sharon Hoots. She is in a hospital in Idaho and Lisa cannot be with her at this time. I am sure that is very difficult. Please pray for Sharon and their families.

We have been praying for Gene before and this is a new update and request.

Just wanted to ask for special prayer on Wednesday of this week for Gene. He will be having his CT on his lungs and stomach. He has been having a lot of trouble with his stomach and they are going to look at it too. Will let you know the results when we get them the next week.





The Yockel Family needs our prayers as well. Brandon is being deployed (any day now) to Afghanistan for a year. He and his wife Ingrid have a son who is 10 months old. Please pray for safety and comfort while they are apart.

Troy Benjamin Glass was born this morning to Crystal and Jason Glass. All is well and I am sure Lia will be a bit excited as well. Praise God.
